Ep 70: ADHD Coach Juliet O'Rourke Helps Women Navigate the ADHD Brain

Episode summary:

ADHD Coach Juliet O'Rourke joins Jen all the way from the UK to talk about her work with women who have been diagnosed with ADHD. After her own diagnosis at age 50, Juliet was called to help other women change their relationship with their thoughts and to help them find ways to support themselves and celebrate the amazing things that the neurodivergent brain can do.

Juliet opens up about her struggle to accept and understand herself before her diagnosis and how she adapted to the new way of thinking about herself since finding out that she has ADHD. There was a certain grief and sadness knowing that she had hated herself for 50 years. It's through this lens and personal experience that she views the women she works with.

This episode is a must listen for anyone who feels like they may be neurodivergent, has recently been diagnosed with ADHD, or has someone with ADHD in their life. It's full of vulnerable insights and helpful morsels of information.

More about Juliet

After a lifetime of believing she was intrinsically flawed, Juliet was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 50. Following her diagnosis, she embarked on an intense journey of discovery about ADHD. At that point, she had already undertaken two years of counselling training, but decided to redirect her career to ADHD coaching. She wants to reach out to others, especially women, going through similar experiences. She is passionate about helping all adults with ADHD challenges.
